Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases to US$ 107.19/bbl on 05.03.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 107.19/barrel (bbl) on 05.03.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 106.34/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 04.03.2013.  In rupee terms, the crude oil price increased marginally to Rs 5857.93/bbl on 04.03.2013 as compared to Rs 5854.02/bbl on 04.03.2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms as rupee appreciation moderated the increase.
